Halloween fun brings families together at Maryville Crisis Nursery

CHICAGO — Families are invited to put on their Halloween costumes and join Maryville Crisis Nursery for its annual Trunk or Treat from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6650 W. Irving Park Road in Chicago.
Children can collect candy from decorated vehicles and enjoy games, prizes, arts and crafts, face painting and snacks. The event offers families an opportunity to celebrate Halloween together in a welcoming setting.
“Our staff is very excited to hold this event,” said Alejandra Ortiz, program director of the Crisis Nursery. “It is a wonderful opportunity for us to bring the community together and provide a safe, joyful Halloween experience for families.”
Community members can also help make the celebration possible by volunteering to decorate their vehicles and distribute candy. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 9 a.m. for setup and stay until 1 p.m. to assist with cleanup.
