Saint Catherine of Siena
About Us
St. Catherine of Siena provides a transitional, community-based shelter for children from newborns to age 21 with complex medical needs who are under the care of the Department of Children and Family Services. The program ensures 24-hour high-quality support from skilled nurses and experienced youth care staff, who bring a compassionate philosophy to their daily work. They recognize that family, supportive staff and caregivers in supportive roles can make a profound difference in the lives of these children. Facing medical diagnoses, treatments and frequent appointments can be daunting for young people, but our dedicated team is there to accompany them to every appointment and coordinate the necessary services for quality care.
Prior to discharge, our nursing staff will provide the relative or caregiver training so that a safe and successful transition will occur.
