ITASCA, Ill. — Golfers, sponsors, volunteers and staff gathered Monday, Sept. 21, at Itasca Country Club for the 11th Annual Maryville CYO/Youth Center Golf Outing in support of programs that provide opportunities for young people to learn, grow and thrive.

Despite recent rain and cart-path-only conditions, the outing is moving forward with an enthusiastic, sold-out field of golfers. Participants will begin arriving this morning for registration, lunch and time on the driving range before the 1 p.m. shotgun start.

The annual outing raises vital support for Maryville CYO and the Maryville Youth Center. Both programs provide safe, welcoming environments where young people can build confidence, form positive relationships and discover their potential.

“Today’s golf outing is about much more than a day on the course,” said Kim Williams, Maryville CYO program director. “The support of our golfers and sponsors helps us provide young athletes with safe spaces, caring mentors and opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship.”

Deon Tolliver, Maryville Youth Center program director, said that when people support the outing, they are investing directly in the young people we serve. “Their generosity helps us offer year-round recreation, tutoring, mentoring and enrichment programs that encourage our youth to learn, grow and recognize their potential,” he said.

Maryville extends its sincere appreciation to the golfers, sponsors and donors whose generosity makes today’s outing possible. Their support is an investment in the young people who participate in CYO and Youth Center programs throughout the year.

Thank you also to the volunteers and staff members whose planning and hard work brought everyone together at Itasca Country Club.
