Maryville, Sexton Institute to host Early Relational Health seminar June 26

DES PLAINES, IL – The Stephen Sexton Training Institute in partnership with Maryville will host a one-day seminar focused on Listening In: Lessons in Early Relational Health from Infants and Caregivers on Thursday, June 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will take place at Malcolm X College, 1900 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL, in Rooms 1106–1107 on the first-floor conference center.

The seminar will bring together professionals and practitioners to explore the importance of early relationships between infants and caregivers, grounded in the latest research and practical strategies. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be provided for eligible attendees.

Keynote Speaker:
The seminar will feature Dr. Claudia M. Gold, MD, a nationally recognized pediatrician, author and expert in early relational health. With over two decades of experience in general and behavioral pediatrics, Dr. Gold has dedicated her career to supporting the emotional well-being of children and families. Her new book, Getting to Know You: Lessons in Early Relational Health from Infants and Caregivers, was released in Spring 2025. Dr. Gold currently serves immigrant families at Volunteers in Medicine, Berkshires and is a sought-after speaker both in the U.S. and internationally. She holds a BA and MD from the University of Chicago.

Panel Discussion:
A distinguished panel of professionals will join Dr. Gold to share insights and experiences, including:
