McCaskey Family honored as champions of Maryville’s children at Night of Hope celebration

The Night of Hope celebration, held last Thursday at Sky on Nine in Rosemont, celebrated the McCaskey Family’s unwavering commitment and support to Maryville, its children and programs.

The event drew numerous McCaskey family members, community leaders, friends and supporters, all gathered to honor the McCaskey Family’s significant contributions. The evening was emceed by Dina Bair, WGN-TV’s award-winning anchor and journalist.

Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed a cocktail reception, a gourmet dinner and heartfelt speeches from Brian and Pat McCaskey, who honored the memory of their parents, Ed and Virginia McCaskey, and shared funny moments growing up. Both McCaskey children said their parents instilled in them the meaning of kindness and giving – through actions – at a very young age.

“Perhaps one of the most touching acts of kindness from the family is their beautiful tradition of having the children choose a special Christmas gift that they received to give to the Maryville children,” shares Nina Aliprandi, Maryville associate executive director, who introduced the family before they received their crystals of gratitude.

For years, the McCaskey Family has created unforgettable experiences for the Maryville children, including annual trips to the Chicago Bears training camps and through the Ed McCaskey Scholarship Fund, which provides opportunities for Maryville alums to pursue their academic dreams. Two of the scholars were present last night.
