The Charles H. Walsh Sr. Academy & Career Tech High School or Walsh Academy opened in the fall of 2023 in Niles, IL. It continues Maryville Jen School’s founding vision of preparing diverse learners, ages 14 to 22, to enter high-demand trades and be college-ready for a successful future.

Walsh Academy’s comprehensive curriculum offers academics, integrated social-emotional learning and career-technical educational instruction. It will develop strong partnerships with contractors, union organizations and school districts to create internship and job opportunities for the students in their communities.

WHAT WE OFFER

The Walsh Academy is the first school of its kind in Illinois, and perhaps the country, that focuses on preparing diverse learners to enter high-demand, high-paying jobs in the trades.
