Maryville to host 31st Annual IPGA-Gleason Cup Invitational August 11
DES PLAINES, IL — Maryville Academy will host its 31st Annual IPGA-Gleason Cup Invitational on Monday, August 11, at the prestigious Merit Club in Libertyville (1500 Merit Club Lane). The event will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with lunch and dinner provided for participants and guests.
The tournament supports the Maryville Golf Academy, which also celebrates its 31st anniversary this year. Since its founding, the academy has helped shape the lives of children and young adults through golf whether as players, caddies or aspiring clubmakers, emphasizing life values rooted in the game: etiquette, respect, honesty, perseverance, responsibility and sportsmanship.
Each year, the program introduces hundreds of youth from across the Chicago area – many from underrepresented communities – to golf, offering lessons and opportunities to work at local courses. This mission continues to play a vital role in closing the industry gap by engaging diverse populations and preparing young people with skills on and off the course.
Although registration is now closed, supporters can still get involved by becoming a sponsor or making a donation to the event. Contributions directly benefit the youth served by Maryville’s Golf Academy and help expand access to the game.
