Maryville Academy will present its inaugural Legacy of Hope Award to His Eminence, Cardinal Blase Joseph Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, at its Night of Hope fundraiser Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Sky on Nine in Rosemont. The event will bring friends and supporters together for an evening of connection and impact in support of Maryville’s mission.
The Legacy of Hope Award was established to recognize individuals whose leadership and compassion reflect Maryville’s work of protecting children and strengthening families. Cardinal Cupich will be the first recipient of the award, honored for his steadfast commitment to faith, service and advocacy for vulnerable children and families across the Chicago area and beyond.
“Cardinal Cupich has long been a voice of hope and dignity for children and families in need,” said Sister Catherine M. Ryan, O.S.F., executive director of Maryville Academy. “We are privileged to present him with the Legacy of Hope Award at this year’s Night of Hope and to celebrate his enduring leadership in our community.”
Proceeds from the evening will benefit medically fragile children and the Maryville Crisis Nursery, supporting critical care and services for young people and families in urgent need. Night of Hope is both a celebration of Maryville’s impact and an opportunity for guests to help sustain this life-changing work.
