Celebrate hope, support Crisis Nursery’s April 4 activities

April is recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to come together to shine a light on the importance of protecting our children and promoting their well-being.
We are proud to honor this month with a special celebration that not only raises awareness but also emphasizes the power of hope, support and healing for children and families.
On Friday, April 4, join Maryville Crisis Nursery for a day of action, reflection and activities that highlight our strength and resilience in the fight against child abuse. We will be planting pinwheels at 10:30 a.m. at Maryville Crisis Nursery (Center for Children), 6650 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago. The staff and children will be wearing blue and plant pinwheels in front of the building.
- Planting Pinwheels: One of our key activities for the day will be planting pinwheels in a beautiful display of support. Pinwheels are a symbol of the bright future every child deserves, and as we plant them, we celebrate the steps we are taking to ensure that every child is safe, nurtured and loved.
- Wear Blue Day: We also invite you to wear blue on April 4, showing your solidarity with children who have been affected by abuse and those who work tirelessly to prevent it. By wearing blue, we show that we stand together in our commitment to making the world a safer place for all children.
Together, we can make a difference!
