The mission of Catholic Charities USA is to exercise leadership in assisting its membership, particularly the diocesan Catholic Charities agencies and supporting group members, in their mission of service, advocacy and convening.
COA is an international, independent, not-for-profit, child and family service and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization. It was founded in 1977 by the Child Welfare League of America and Family Service America (now the Alliance for Children and Families). Originally known as an accrediting body for family and children's agencies, COA currently accredits 38 different service areas and over 60 types of programs. Among the service areas are substance abuse treatment, adult day care, services for the homeless, foster care, and inter-country adoption.

Courage House
Maryville's Crisis Nursery is the Chicago Bears' Courage House designated by the Ed Block Foundation. A Courage House is a nonprofit organization whose programs address the needs of abused/neglected and at-risk children and/or families. The foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of neglected children and ending the cycle of abuse. Only after thorough investigation and approval by the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation’s Board of Directors can a center qualify. This year's Ed Block Courage Award winner is Bears' standout Israel Idonije. Idonije was honored for his work with children in our community and in Africa at the Ed McCaskey Scholarship luncheon at Maryville.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Members of the Society of St.Vincent de Paul (or "Vincentians" ) are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person tangible assistance and service to individuals in need. It is the oldest charity in the Chicagoland area serving those in need since 1857. From aiding the wounded in the Civil War to serving the starving in the Great Depression to working side by side with the first responders of Katrina and Hurricane Ike, Vincentian members are there to help and comfort.
